Questions

Common questions

What is a scope?

The materials and jurisdictions an issue covers: for example, lithium and graphite across Canada, the US and the EU. You choose it, and each issue covers what changed for it.

What is in an issue?

What changed in the period: new and amended rules, effective dates, funding programs, trade actions and changes in who owns and controls the companies you deal with. Each item cites its source, confidence and retrieval date, and ends with what it means for you. Where the data is thin, the issue says so.

How does the pilot work?

Ninety days on one scope: three monthly issues and one on-demand brief, for $2,500 CAD. If you continue to a plan, the $2,500 is credited to your first year.

Which briefs can I ask for?

A Regulatory Scan (which rules apply to a material in the jurisdictions you name, and from when), a Compliance Decision Brief (whether a named supplier, buyer or investor clears a specific test) or an Entity Dossier (one company or facility: its owners, output and exposures).

Do you publish price assessments?

No. LodeIQ is not a price-reporting agency and does not publish price assessments for lithium, cobalt, graphite, manganese, rare earths or any battery chemical. The only prices we carry are the World Bank's monthly nickel and copper series, labelled with source and date.

Is this legal advice?

No. LodeIQ shows the rules, the thresholds, the ownership facts and their sources. Whether a test is met, such as control under the Investment Canada Act or prohibited-foreign-entity status under US tax law, is a determination for your counsel.

How do I pay?

By invoice, in Canadian dollars. No card is needed.
